I just heard a few cuts off of Jerry Douglas' new CD last night...let me tell you folks...it is GREAT!!! My friend Cliff Miller is AK&US stage manager & he had a copy & was good enough to let me hear a few cuts when he stopped by a job I was working. The CD has acoustic & electric lap steel, & special guest include Derek Trucks, John Fogerty of CCR, & AK herself.
One cool thing is on one of the pix on the CD sleeve, Jerry is holding a National New Yorker. Killer stuff...JD really kicks on lap.

So Howard? did Jerry play your National on his CD? I'm thinkin I've read a post where he was and if so that National will probably play by itself when he's done with it.

No, Jerry didn't play my New Yorker. He just used it for the photo.

I see that he made mention of you in the credits Howard... congrats. This is such a great album, I haven't been able to stop listening to it since I got it yesterday.

Jerry is the ABSOLUTE MASTER of the resonator guitar. This is the most interesting project he has put out.
Certainly NOT bluegrass, but I keep spinning it and loving it!
