The Forum, for me over the years has been a very special place.Certainly has been a great venue to learn and apply all the knowledge that comes from some great players, who by the way can't be thanked enough for sharing their ideas. I immediately think of Ricky Davis who goes out of his way to help those who simply ask.I think of bOb who makes this Forum happen, day in and day out.A big thanks to them and to all of you.
However,my most blessed experiences have come from the true friendships that have developed as a result of the Forum. Two come to mind right away,Skip Tannery and Reggie Duncan, both whose dedication to that which we all love but more important, they both are simply great human beings and I'm very thankful that I know them.
My question is, has the Forum allowed you to develope such friendships?

If gaining endless knowledge from so many great guys who are willing to share their expertise and encouragements with us novices, then I would say, "What a great place to find valuable friends"

Absolutely.
And most all the people I have finally gotten to meet at the conventions,
have just as much character as they show here.

I now have people I call friends ALL across the USA, and several in other countries.
VIVA le forum!

I would not be playing the guitar and amp that I play now or getting my ideal sound if it were not for the people on this forum. It is a tremendous resource and full of some very dedicated unselfish people.

The Forum, and participating on it, is like being linked to a HUGE family.
I have been contacted by several friends that I'd lost track of. People who I have great respect for, and feel not only friendship, but a KIN-SHIP with.

Then I have met a lot of folks on the forum, that I'm really looking foreward to meeting in person.

I am not even a STEEL player, but for the last 30 plus years, I've set up on the bandstand next to some GREAT ones, and nobody appreciates a STEEL GUITAR more than me.

I'm waiting to hear from some great Steel players that I have tried to get them to join the "FORUM". DUANE BROWN - CECIL JOHNSON Come on in boys!

Thanks b0b for making it all happen, and thanks to all the forum-ites!

Thanks to the forum, from the training materials acquired from fellow forumites, and advice received, I don't worry so much about embarassing myself while playing. Now I'm more likely to embarass myself while adding to forum threads

i have been on the forum now for about 6 months. only started learning to play last april. not doing too bad but having trouble finding someone to give me personal instruction that don't live 200 miles away. i have had corrospondance with a few on here and it has been a pleasure. i spend most of my on line time here at the forum. the only player that i have really met which introduced me to the forum is none other than scott henderson. i have seen him play and he is good. i love going to the opery and to crickets and watching him play. it is a blast and on top of it he is a nice fella. thanks doc.
