Does it bother you guys over in buy and sell, when you're trying to sell a piece of equipment---you post your ad---and the next ad is some guy saying,"I had a Guitar just like that--good guitar!"
Then the next post says,"Somebody's gonna get a good deal."
The next post says,"Hey, Fred, how you doin'?"
The NEXT post says,"That guitar would look pretty on my bass boat."
Next post..."You fish? What's the biggest largemouth you ever caught?"
My point is, does this aggravate you guys much? Do you feel as if this distracts from your intended sale? |

If I were selling a guitar and my post was getting bumped that much, I'd be happy to be quite honest. That much more exposure could make the difference in selling your item....

Both points well taken.
If I was selling, I think I would prefer content, how ever off the wall, to repeating the word bump.
As they said in Hollywood, no publicity is bad publicity. |

i did make a post to help a fellow
he was selling an emmons like mine but
i sure did not try to take away from his sale and i made no jokes about it
from now on i will use bump or not at all

A bump is good, but if the content is complete nonsense it think it degrades the whole process. It's OK if you personally know the gear to comment on it's condition etc. I feel that if you have no interest or intention of buying an item, you should not become involved. There's a few on this forum that have a habit saying that's too much or I know someone or somewhere you can get that cheaper etc., when in reality they have no clue what they are talking about. I think there may be a chosen few members on the forum that need a hobby, a keeper or and not limited to, professional help.

As a newbie I once made a comment about a steel a guy had up for sale.Not knowing that this was against the unwritten rules and after a lot of e-mails(including hate mails) I edited the reply.
IMO it's ok to give a reply.But if it has nothing to do with the instrument or gear you have for sale or want to buy than it's best not to interfere with it.
