Steve, let's give the TM Steeler a little more credit. Denny Hemingson has been with Tim for a good number of years. He's also a really great guy to work with. I particularly like his versatility on Dobro and Tele. I'm not sure if others worked with Tim in studio, but check out "Just To See You Smile" for the steel and fiddle (Dean Brown) breaks.
As for me working on new things I'm still being inspired by Lloyd's "Revisited" and Bobbe's "Classics".  I'm looking for intro's, outs, and turn-arounds. |

I'm trying to re-learn parts I played in the studio on several cuts over several months to play the tunes live for our upcoming CD release events.
Sometimes it's harder for me to figure out how to recreate what I played spontaneously than to cop someone elses' stuff off a record...  |

I spent the last couple of weeks working on Pauline Reese's material... about 30 originals... for some upcoming gigs with her.
Then I finished my most recent course material ("Swinging on E9"), and am starting the follow-up course.
Now I have to get my stuff ready for the AZ show. Sheesh! No rest for the weary.

Herb, I'm calling a penalty for "too many gigs for one steel player". How many acts do you work with now? You're supposed to quit or get fired before moving on to another gig. Not just keep piling them up.

I'm still with Bush, but since he only works 2 or 3 jobs a month, I have to seek work elsewhere to supplement. And I believed we discussed the job I just departed when we saw each other at the Spoke last.
Incidentally, I've just finished the arrangement for "Fraulein." It's tabbed for guitars tuned down a half-tone  .
