Hey guys,
Got this beauty Thursday. Haven't been able to put it down since! It's and all koa MK Hollowneck with rosewood binding. The sound right out of the case was surprisingly very full. The bass response is great in this thing. I've gotten used to the wider string spacing of the Superior so it is a little bit of a contrast with the BC, but I'm finding I favor the narrower spacing. I can't wait for the sound of this thing to open up even more with time! Bill installed a Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker in it for free because wait was a little longer than expected. I haven't been able to give the pickup a test run yet, but will as soon as I get back. Steinar was kind enough to post the pics for me!
Cheers,
-Brad
p.s. the stubby-toed foot in the picture is just an added bonus for you guys

What a beauty!

Ain't the web great? A guitar made in Hawaii, a player in S. Carolina and a guy posting the picture from Norway!

Congratulations Brad. I've had a BC since 1997 and have played two others. They're fantstic instruments. I had a single coil Rare Earth but was disapointed in the amount of 60 cycle hum it put out. The humbucker is the way to go.

Hey Guys,
Tried the pickup today and was pleasantly surprised. I tried it out on a friend's Peavey keyboard amp. Not the best amp for acoustic tone, but it gave me an idea of the capabilities of the pickup. I was surprised at the amount of bass response I got immediately without any creative "tweeking", or a preamp. Fishman is described as being a little "sparkley" and it was but the bass was right there with it. I was pretty satisfied overall. I originally bought a K & K Pure Western Mini to install in the BC. And I still may. I have not tried that pickup. I have a Sunrise in my Superior, so I wanted to see what a transducer style pickup would sound like.
Cheers,
Brad
