This morning I caught the fade-out of some music at the end of an NPR "Morning Edition" piece. It was a hauting clip that sounded like pedal steel and cello. I just heard a few short bars but really enjoyed it. Any idea what/who it was?

Chris,
I was trying to figure it out by searching the NPR site and bumped into a feature story done about the steel with Paul Niehaus of Calexico on Morning edition.
There is an mp3 of the show to check out.

Thanks Bob. That's the one! (Sheesh - the guy practically lives in my backyard and I have to find out what he's up to through a show created who-knows-where from a guy in New York via a forum housed in California!) Modern living...
