Hey guys.....all I can say is WOW!!!

I took a Steel Lesson last night from Ted Solesky (Ft. Worth side of town).
A few of you guys may know of him. GREAT steel player who really knows his stuff.

Tasty, tasty, tasty stuff. Can't wait to incorporate some of the stuff he showed my last night.

I plan on taking lessons in the future from a few more guys in town....like:
Gary Carpenter, Albert Talley...and of course...another lesson from the Great Reece Anderson.....who got me started.
Went from 0 to 90 miles an hour on Pedal Steel.
Thank you Reece!

and THANK YOU TED SOLESKY.

If anybody is interested in taking a lesson from Ted, I highly recommend it!

I met Ted way up here in Maine while he was visiting a mutual friend of ours way back in the late seventies. He was a super picker even back then. I wish I lived closer to him, I'd grab some lessons in a heartbeat.
I wonder if he's going to the Dallas show in March. I'd love to see him again.

Ted is a great guy and has the patience of a saint. Years ago, I was trying to teach myself to play and not really getting anywhere. I drove about 35 miles every Saturday morning to take lessons from him. I'll never forget the Saturday morning I showed up and he said, "Be at the Brewery Tavern in Reading at 8:00 tonight. I got you a gig." It scared the crap out of me, but he knew I was ready to play.
