Can someone tell me who played steel on Gene Watson's song,"I never go around mirrors" That is some awsome stuff.Ron

Corky Owens is who plays on the road with Gene. I am not sure who is on the record though.

Buddy Emmons played steel on that whole album. Need I say more!!

I think I just happen to be Corky Owens' number one fan. I think he is one of the most under rated steel players in the business. And the 'Farewell Party Band' is one of the best touring bands around.

I also love that Lefty Frizzell tune also. On that same Watson album is another song that's a killer: "Take me as I am or let me go". give it a listen. Proves to me that old songs that are good just keep coming back in this never ending cycle of country music. I wonder how many people have recorded "Release Me".
