I sat in on an old Sho-Bud a few years back in L.A.and was amazed at the stuff this guy had between the two necks,A pack of smokes, tums, aspirin, picks, string winder, gum, tuning wrench, buiness cards, spare change etc.Has anyone seen more junk than that on a guitar? |

No Darvin, not just in Texas. About a month ago, I worked on a fiddle for a guy from here. Inside the body I found a "snake rattle", a $20 bill, a paper clip, and NO soundpost! Boy - you think we ain't got 'em around here...

Smokes, lighter, nasal spray, Rolaids, at least a couple business cards, and a pen used to be on my guitar all of the time. It's just the picks I use now and the bar goes on the strings at the keyhead. |

I think the most I ever saw was in a steel in SoCal owned by Carl Walden. It was an old Fender 1000 which had the outside neck removed and replaced with a flat board to make it like a tray... Carl could set beer bottles, ash trays, or just about anything he wanted to on that guitar. I wonder if he still has that thing....JH

Jerry, I think I just discovered why guys like us who play a single neck, must own a pack-a-seat and a Crown Royal bag.............JD |
