I caught a clip of the new Spongebob movie, and there's definitely some of that western swing steel in there. Is it new, and who does it? (I guess I'll have to go see the whole movie this weekend). Edit -> I know that several people did earlier stuff and who they are, I'm just wondering if these are old tracks or if somebody actually paid a musician to work on the new soundtrack.

David,

I'm pretty sure it's Jeremy Wakefield. He's done most (if not all) the Steel work for Spongebob. If you do a search (I believe this topic has been discussed) You'll find a lot more info on this.

I think fellow forumite, Gary Brandin did a lot of the steel work on the Spongebob TV series.
