I found a stringmaster with the spacing of 5/16 of an inch at the nut, and 6/16 (3/Cool at the bridge....pretty standard from what I've seen.

I know some Fender's have the wider spacing. Can someone tell me what those specific measurements were for the wider spacing (for those that may have one)?

Was it the "Dual Pro" that came with wider spacing?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm referring to 8 string models only...

From a Stringmaster advert -

"MICRO-ADJUSTABLE BRIDE
Located beneath cover of each neck. Two longitudinal screws permit bridge adjustment for accurate fretting and intonation. Bridges with variable string spacing are available to allow the player a choice of narrow, average or wide string spacing with variations from the first to the eighth string as follows:

Distance from First
To Eight String
Narrow - - 2 7/16"
*Average - - 2 5/8"
Wide - - 2 3/4"
* (supplied with instrument)
End quote.

No mention of variable spacing at the nut.

My Dual Pro measures 2 3/16" at the nut and 2 11/16" at the bridge.

I don't think any of the 8 string Fender models were designed with bar slanting in mind.

Hope this helps.
