Aloha all,

This past weekend I co-hosted the Hawaiian Room at Scotty's International Steel Guitar convention in St. Louis, MO. Beard Guitars had a booth there where they were displaying their new Style O bell brass biscuit bridge guitar. Very Nice!

The guitar is engraved (not sand blasted) with a traditional Hawaiian scene (palm trees, lagoon etc.) which according to Beard's company rep. Chet Hougue is completely hand engraved. The fit and finish is 100%. The chromed finish looks very thick and durable. The neck has a very comfortable feel and intonation is spot on. Tone and volume are superb. Street price: $1050.

Thanks for the link Gerald, looks pretty nice.

Not to be picky, but the guitar
should be correctly characterized as a Goldtone Beard, like their newer wood body resos. The guitar is designed by Beard, manufactured in Asia by Goldtone.

I was curious when I first clicked on your thread because it gives one the impression that it would be built at the Beard shop in Maryland. I thought, "wow-they're building metal bodied guitars now?" On the wooden Goldtone Beard resos, it is preferable to get one that has been set up at the Beard shop in Maryland, if you can, rather than one of the big mail order houses.
