I was given a promo of a new RCA Nashville artist name of Catherine Britt, a 19 year-old British lass who sounds like she's heard a few Loretta Lynn albums. I'm only mentioning her album because I heard none of following:

pitch correction software abuse
metal leads
bogus synth sounds
quantized to death drums

What I did hear was:

killer vintage-toned pedal steel on every song (single coils and Fenders?)
blazing tele-picking
some nice choruses
great fiddle playing
and some excellent resonator playing.

My promo copy has no credits of course, any of you all picking for Catherine? Nice work whoever you are!

Gerald

Catherine Britt is an Australian lass trying her luck in the big time.
That is her second album but I believe the first was never released in the States.
The steel player is her favourite musician Michel Rose who appeared at the convention last year with The Feral Swing Katz.
Look out for Catherine she is GREAT.
