I think I inadvertently hit 'Return' instead of 'Tab' and posted nothing. Sorry.

Does anyone know if there is any tablature for Judy Collins' song 'Someday Soon'? It's out there for guitar but has anyone put it in a book or anywhere else for Steel? Thanks.

Dick Meis has it tabbed for his CD, "Some Good Stuff". The CD and the tab are excellent. His web page is www.pedalsteelguitar.net

I have a steel guitar instrumental version of Someday Soon on my first CD, "Finally Here" and I sell a rhythm track and E9 tablature for it. You can hear my version at http://cdbaby.com/cd/cohen then send me an email if interested in the tab.

Apologies to Dick and Jim... Leila, get the free stuff from Buddy but buy the other arangements, too, and learn the song more than one way.

No offense taken, Steve. We all know that Buddy is "Da Man", especially on this tune that inspired so many of us. By all means, check out his tab but be aware that he has posted only the intro, solo and turnaround, to accompany a singer, whereas what I'm offering is an entire steel guitar instrumental arrangement of the whole song. Different kettle of fish.

A bit of topic drift, but....
I was playing some video poker at an Indian casino last weekend after the 1st round of my clubs golf tournament and all of a sudden through the buzz and clatter of noise of all the machines and people on a busy Sat night came that wonderful tone and phrasing as only Buddy can deliver it and for just a little while, it was all I could hear. Made me smile out loud!

You know Leila, if we run into you now, you'll be expected to play this song.

Boy will you ever be surprised when I can play this song just like Buddy did. Just be patient...40 or 50 years should suffice. haha

ahhh Leila, that's one of the songs that made me want to learn steel, what a song! Not surprised a girl from Colorado would like that song, it sounds like the lead break stays right there at the third fret for most of it, at least that's the way i do it

I love that contrary motion in the lick right after "...colorado". Mmm... contrapuntal...

A biased plug for my buddy Jim C.'s version.

His instrumental version is top notch, and I have some of his TAB, though not this song, and it is very clear and complete.

And you will really like the whole FInally Here album itself.
