Hi-- I haven't heard any more comments recently about whether or not Pedal Steel.US magazine was going to publish anymore. Has it officially gone belly up? Hasn't it been over a year or a year and half since we subscribers got the last issue?

If Bobbe Seymour and Reece Anderson can become friends again, maybe there is hope yet that the magazine will rise from the ashes.

I was in Nashville and looking for steel players...
it took me three days, but finally I found 2.

The first was James Shelton who did a fine job, and had Porter's bassplayer with him that evening. I played 4 tunes with the band and then he played my bass for a song after me.

Well the second that night was, of all people, Terry Wendt.

I saw an old Sho-Bud coming out of the case and went over for a look.
I was asked my name, answered, and Terry just closed his eyes,
and this strange smile crossed his face.
He asked ; "How the hell did get you over here now??"
Oh, planes and cars I guess.. and you are
Terry Wendt..... ba da bing!

Next thing I know he was buying me a drink.
I later sat in for a few numbers with that band too.

During our conversations that evening I did ask about the magazine.
He said he still intends to get it out some how,
some way, when he can.
The next issue is mostly together sitting on the computers.
I got the impression it was a labor of love, that he wanted working.
But was way more expensive to do that he ever imagined.

More than that I can't say.
But I did believe Terry wants to continue publisihng some how.
So officially dead : no,
ill definied time till press : yes.

PS. Terry plays pretty darned good one that LDG too.

And who gives a rutabaga's root about Britany Spears 14th, 4 hour marriage.

I remember in business school at CU (one of the few things I remember from that time) was one of my professors said that when putting together an anlysis of a business proposal, estimate your expenses high and then double them. Estimate your income low and cut it in half. If the numbers still come close to working, you have about a 1 in 5 shot of making it.

It's a beautiful magazine, but the fact is that there's not enough willing subscribers to cover the costs.

I spoke with Terry a few days ago, and everything David said is correct.

Terry was hoping to provide an update, but apparently he has been banned from the Forum?

If I remember correctly Terry need only contact b0b,
and give a personal apology to the boss of bosses here on the forum.

In the heat of the moment he bit the hand that was feeding him,
and "the hand" objected and pulled his plug.
Simple as that.

Surely Terry hasn't been banned. Maybe he's just been put in the time-out corner. If so, "b0b can Terry come out and play?" I'm sure his time is up. And if his posting priviledges have been revoked how bout reinstating them b0b? Terry is apparently a nice guy and has a love for the steel. Just my 2% and I aien't gonna take it back.

I never thought legal threats and unfullfilled business promises involving money were nice.

I was just physically threatened over the phone from Nashville. I am reporting the threat to both the phone company and the local authorities. The phone number is logged on my cell.

I unlocked Terry's account some time ago. I don't want any part of this "fight", though. I'm busy with other things right now.

I'm thinking this whole story would be nice for a Steel Guitar Magazine.

Anybody thinking of publishing one?

The "Time Out Corner" I kind if like that description!

Hi Terry, It was fun meeting you at Legends Corner in Sept.
You played quite well, and it was nice jamming with ya too.
Normally it's the clientel that buys the band a round,
in this case you bought ME one..
I thought that was cool.

Kevin since you have no listed address on your posts...
I doubt you could be found to get in a fight with.
Nor did I find Terry the fighting type in person.

Saying legal action might be taken is not the same as actually filing suit.

But it seems from YOUR words YOU have now filed on Terry.

So maybe you two had a screaming match...to no great purpose...
He said, he said, and I doubt much can be proved either way.
So just chill. Please.

And I am SURE that most of us here would prefer this, one on one, personal dispute,
was kept OFF the forum.
