He'll be there. (Depending on how the schedule goes,)we'll see if we can fit him in.
He'll be playing some with Bill Stafford and on rhythm guitar for a lot of folks.
Thanks for asking and caring, Don.
I sure hope he finds time somewhere in there to play.
Of course, I'm partial to him and I think he plays to good to miss.

Hi Evelyn....I understand the MSA display is right next to the room where the Hawaiian show is to be held, if so you will be seeing a lot of me. Thats a great lineup of players you have scheduled. My best to you and Leonard.

I sure wished I could attend the ISGC, but due to personal issues here at home I am not able to be there. Great lineup of players,

Thank you Evelyn for the update and give my best to LT.

Evelyn,
Tell L.T. I said "Thanks for scheduling me for a slot after lunch." We will be driving in from Memphis Friday morning and hope to be there by ten, but should we be delayed for some reason, I'm sure we can makie it in time to set up, tune up, etc.,before my set. Being squeezed in between two Hula Dancer sets is nice -- but following the great Tom Brumley will be a challenge.

The "house band" for the Hawaiian Room next Friday is:

LT Zinn: Guitar
Doug Smith: Guitar
Gerald Ross: Guitar
Floyd Alexander: Bass

Don't need drums, don't need a wall of Marshalls, don't need keyboards, don't need a horn section.

We'll do fine.

Just someone bring a uke, and lunch.

My old high school buddy (honestly) Howard Kalish is going to sit in for a few tunes during my set.

The last time I was on stage with Howard was when we were both 16 years old!

This sounds great. Wish I could be there.

There are such wonderful line ups in The Hawaiian Room and the MSA room that Scotty may have to re schedule the rest of the convention for the following weekend!

Enjoy, as I know everyone visiting will.

Yeah nice line up.
I wish I could make it for a third year, but no chance.

Best of luck for a great show, not sure If I can get my time frame to jib with having a listen, but nice to hear it will be going out live too.

David, since you can't make the ISGC this year, here is a reminder from last year in the Hawaiian Room. With the attention you guys were giving it, I'm still wondering what was on that chart!

We just got a call from Roy Ayers wife and she said Roy will be undergoing some tests again and asked for our prayers.
I'm hoping you all will join us in prayer for Roy.
NOW, we haven't heard from Bill Stafford yet and I ask again, for prayers for he and Betty.
Such a bad storm and I'm sure even 20 miles inland was not altogether out of harms way.
Sure hope to see them in St Louis.

I hope everyone makes it to (and from) St. Louis safely. And I hope Gerald Ross brings a ukulele with him!

Funny you should mention it Brad.

Today UPS delivered my new triple-neck, 27 pedal, 13 knee lever, hexagonal copedant, solid formica tenor ukulele.

UPS trashed the shipping box but the uke was OK.

And I'm still waiting for them to deliver my volume-tone-chorus-flange optical teflon pedal, aaarrrggh!! .

You'll hear the uke on Friday. I'm doing a tribute to Roy Smeck where I don't touch the strings at all during the first 35 minutes of the medley. I just send Morse code to pedal with a Maglite.

If the uke can't fit the overhead of the plane I'll just do some Buck Owen's tunes on the Bakelite.

Aloha!
