If you live in the Modesto area, you owe it to yourself to stop by Nashville West in the heart of downtown Ceres, CA. John is currently playing with the David Langley (SP?) Band and they do know what COUNTRY is about! From Buck to Haggard, Top 40 to Classic, it's well worth a listen. Aside from Johnny being a fine player (can we say Mr. elite?) and adding immensely to the band, David is one hell of a picker, vocalist and entertainer. Thought any local pickers might want to check out some good ol' boys from down Merced via Bakersfield way. Friday and Saturday nights bar time. See ya out there David!

Is Johnny still playing his 'Thomas', built right there in Modesto?

John never played a Thomas. He is dyed-in-the-wool SHOBUD! Barry Thomas rebuilt
his changer head and replaced some bell cranks with Barry's T6 CNC parts. This to replace some of the badly worn pot metal Gretsch used and to extend the life of the ol' girl, but other than that, nope, no Thomas.
