I played a gospel singing tonight where I met a lady who had sang backup in a lot of clubs around the Dallas area. We started talking about some of the steelers she had worked with like Jr. Knight and the late Gary Hogue. She then asked me what I thought about Buddy Emmons. I was shocked that she even brought his name up to begin with. I told her he was my steel idol and just listed reasons why I felt why he was the great steel player that he is. She told me about one night when Buddy was playing for Ray Price and he was playing so fast his fingers looked blurry. That is exactly what she said. She told me how other musicians would congreate around Buddy Emmons in awe of the talent he possesses. I guess I have known it for years but to hear it from someone who worked clubs but was not a musician just shows that Buddy Emmons just stands out when it comes to playing with other musicians. To me he is the greatest and always be.

He is the number 1 in steelworld ,all the other "BIG"names KNOW's that too.
He is "FAR AWAY" for everybody,,,,,
It's for us all a pity that the "HOLY FIRE"
is a little bit lower then 10 or 15 years ago but is'nt that
"a sign of the times"?,,,,,,,but still
THE GREATTEST

Thanks Buddy
