For the first time in a long time, I had the chance to sit down and watch TV at bedtime. Normally, I don't watch Dave Letterman, but did so on this occasion as Loretta Lynn was going to be on. (Loretta Lynn = GREAT BAND!)
She may have done this a long time ago, but it takes awhile to drift out west here, against the prevailing winds..... Her group was definitely NOT traditional country. (or was it, by today's standards?)
Can any of you describe this band for me? This was a rebroadcast of a Letterman Show, aired prior to the Kentucky Derby, in early May, I believe it was? The steel player had a beautiful looking Sho=Bud, I believe it was. Great to see it! |

Skip, Lorretta did herself and her fans an injustice by appearing with this group. Notice that the guy behind the steel had no vibrato at all and his tone was atrocious. But maybe it was supposed to be so it would coincide with the crap the band was playing. CC |

Didn't see it so I can't describe it.
There's a lot to be said for having a gig though.
