I just got a MSA Sidekick Steel and would like any info on the tuning and setup for this guitar. I have an MSA Classic double, but this one is strange to me. Thanks for any help on this. Bob

Here is a link to the manual for the Sidekick. Don't let anyone tell you it is not a good guitar to learn on. They play well(for their limitations) and sound decent. MSA_Sidekick_OwnersManual.pdf

I have an MSA Sidekick and a Red Baron. The Sidekick has 2 knee levers, lowers and raises 4 and 8. They both sound great. I use them on gigs that I have to play both guitar and psg on. I take my Sho-Bud out when I get to play steel all night. There was a time when I played the Red Baron quite often, I really learned how to get a lot out of 3 pedals and 1 knee lever.

Hey Guy's;
Does anyone know where this came from? I just got an MSA Sidekick Steel and the Knee Lever Lowers the (1) and (7) Strings and I don't have a clue what this is or how to use the thing. First time I came across this setup. Any ideas on this? Thanks, Bob

That knee lever is simply set up wrong, Bobby.

The manual says that it should lower the 4th and 8th string, but it would be more versatile if you lowered the 2nd and 8th.

I'm moving this topic to the "Pedal Steel" section.
