My young grandaughter, Crystal is especially good at poetry. She wrote the following:
****************
Close your eyes and try to realize;
The steel guitar’s musical sound;
Fills up paradise all around!!
The love filled expressions on the face;
Hands moving with delicate grace.
Musical notes from high to low;
Feet dancing around not far below.
When you hear the music you want to dance,
with a loved one close to you;
Musical talent you never knew.
No song ever complete;
Without a steel’s musical beat.
Listening to the melody you begin to see;
When you hear the music, you’re in ecstasy.
So free your mind, open your eyes
And come back from the paradise.
Know in you heart when you hear that sound;
Back in paradise you will be found.

Jim, she just turned 16. She has other poems that would bring tears to your eyes. I hope she stays with it.

Leroy, that is beautiful. She really knows what makes the steel guitar so special. |

Leroy/Crystal:
Great poem Crystal. Now don't you sound like the proud Papa. I too have been blessed with a wonderful compassionate daughter. Keep up the great work Crystal.

Johnny, yeah, I'm a proud Grandpa! This gal has a way of saying things on paper. She usually writes about emotional times that she is going thru.
I have four and I think they are really neat. I do worry about the little one though (10 years old). I think she has a chance of being the first ex-con in the family! |
