I was watching one of the special features on the "Blazing Saddles" DVD. In the background there is a guitar playing and later a steel and then a dobro. They're just quietly putzing around, but it's there, none the less.

My dad took us to see it at the movies ... in '74.

He thought it was just a good ole' western ... what a shocker

I watch it whenever it comes on ... I think its one of the funniest movies ... ever

Now, Rick, you've reminded me of a night in the early 70's when my girlfriend's mom wanted to take us to the movies... we went to see "Paint Your Wagon" at the Drive-In because her mom liked westerns. I thought it was really weird sitting in the front seat (next to her mom for crying out loud!) trying to keep our hands off each other- and then Lee Marvin starts to sing. Talk about the twilight zone...

I can't watch this movie enough. The fart scene gets the uncontrolable laughter going every time.
