Jody - You are without a doubt one of the best things to ever happen to my computer! I ALWAYS enjoy your writings. Though we have never met, (my loss), I imagine you to be one of the kindest people one could ever meet! I'll get out of here for now, there will be many more "ringin your line". God Bless - and on your wifes illness, I know just where you stand...

Jody, I would have loved to have been at the Fender factory back in '56 when they were making my Stringmaster.

Since I have been a musician like all of you,
I have never been happy with my playing.I would often listen to what I recorded and thought "now I could have done better than that". But it was too late, the session was over.

So with that said.I re-read my post and found
it to be boring. I edited what I posted, and I feel better about it.

David..I have a 56 Stringmaster too. Dont ever sell your guitar, you will never get another.

Now thats better.

Thanks for everything to all of you.

A Boring guy and I realize it.

This is not intended to be a boost, but just a goodbye to all of you. I know I have not contributed much to this Forum. I really dont play steel guitar, although I have been trying very hard.

I doubt very much that I will ever accompolish what I wanted and that was to play steel guitar. My surgery was a sucess but the future looks dim in spite of the fact that the doctors are optimistic.

I am moving to Florida in a short time from now and my teacher will remain here where he belongs.

He dont know this until he reads this but my
Fender Double Neck guitar that was given to my dad will be going home to my friend Jody.

He deserves it more than I do. I appreaciate on Jodys behalf everything that all of you have written about him,,he's that
and more, and for goodness sake get his book
when it comes out. It will make you laugh and make you cry,but most of all its something to own.

I have a draft of the contents and believe me its something like I have never read before. My wife looks at the humor and laughs, she looks at the sadness and cries. To Jody, its just another one of his stories but Its much more than that, its seeing Fender through his eyes.

It gives me goosebumps as well. Buy it,you wont be sorry you did.

Best to all of you.

Hey Jody, if some people don't like what you have to say, they don't have to read it. They need to get a clue. I don't always have time to read some of your lengthy posts but that doesn't mean I would want you to stop posting. When I do have the time I am glad the posts are there and I can chose to read them or not. Keep posting and don't worry about the clueless folks.

Thanks to all of you patient people. Its not my fault I'm a looney bird.

As for my buddy Greg the "Smiling Irishman"
I am looking for opinions,,his wife wants to move to Florida and he dont.. OK,,then he wants to quit the steel,,, I say no to that.

And this is for you Greg..KEEP THE DUAL PRO
It has your name on it from day one....that guitar was born the same year you were 1956.

Dont tell Lisa about me doing this ok?.

Now I need opinions. What the heck,if those who post "what do you wear when playing"?
and "how big are your feet"? I may as well ask this question am I right??? You bet I am.

The Knight Of Fender Tweed has spoken.

That name was laid on me by a Forum Member
but I cant disclose his name,,and he's one heck of a carpenter.you oughta see what he built for me...but I cant tell anyone

I'm sorry for the long posts.

There's plenty of opinions around here
Here's mine, on this, for Greg: where you live is up to you and your wife, no-one else! whether you carry on playing steel is up to you, and no-one else! BUT - wherever you live, and whatever you play, there's no reason to leave the Steel Guitar Forum! Stick around, and keep on giving us the REAL lowdown on that Carver guy
All the best to Greg and Lisa, and to the pizza delivery guy

Just for the record - I have *many* times encouraged Jody not to leave the Forum - this time I was asking *Greg* (and LISA!) not to leave, as Greg suggested above that they might...
