can;t help but wonder, why will most dealers sell you a $1000 or up Evans
amp, but won't bother with a lower priced amp like the Nashville 112? Guess it just
doesn't put enough icing on the cake for
them to bother with it. Everyone that plays
or tries to play psg, can't dish out $1000
for an amp to play in their basement with.
I love my Nashville 1000 but sometimes feel
that i'm somewhat overamped for practicing
in my basement. Have to look until i find someone who deals what i want. Maybe more sales would be made, if they sold what we
want. TJH |

Well, the 112 is pretty new, so a lot of dealers may not have them in stock yet. Also, it's made for steel, so that narrows the customer demand a little, too. Luckily, there's online sellers (like Bobbe Seymour) that can supply us steelers with most of our wants! The one dealer near me isn't even a licensed Peavey distributor. (Maybe the smaller manufacturers like Evans and Webb don't have the sales quotas that Peavey has?) |

A few Forumites in Ohio are using the Carvin SX100 Amp. It sells for about $350.

I would recommend that if you are a new steeler and/or limited on funds you check out the older Peavey amps. When people say they are bullet-proof...THEY ARE! Those old Session 400s and Session 500s are still going strong, can be had for around $300 (or less) and, IMO, sound BETTER than the Nashville series of amps. You can't beat 'em.

Thanks for the info guys, and Joe i'm not e new steeler and i'm not broke yet but i own a nice Nashville 1000, and love the sound. Just wanted one that the Nashville 112 looks ideal for. And i whole heartedly agree that Peaveys are really tough amps. I
have owned a Mace An ARTIST W/ 15 IN spkr a
Nasville 400, Session 500 (2) Bandits a Nashville 1000 have a small Peavey w/2 6 in
speakers and Stereo chorus. So my array of
amps leans heavily toward Peavey. The Blode '65 Fender Deluxe is nice too. TJH |
