Who is the Steel Guitarist that does the soundbites for Scotty's website? There is a video snippet of him playing the solo from "Together Again" on a pretty rough 2X2 maverick that just blows me away.....

Can anyone watch that and tab it for me? Sounds like he's really milking it and embellishing a lot.....great job!

You don't really need any knee levers at all to do together again... just the A&B pedals. The "X" lever wasn't actually used on the original cut.

that's the tab to TBs take on the Buck Owens tune.

I haven't seen that one, but Don Curtis does most, if not all of those clips.

But pedals certainly make it easier

Don E. Curtis.

Notice the Tee Shirt says, "Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar".

That's a Commander Cody Hit from the 70s.
Don plays Steel with the Commander when he's in the Midwest.

Yes, I cannot tell a lie...it's me goofing around. What can I say, the Bud sounds good, maple under the black paint and a good ole single coil pickup, that's what a steel's supposed to sound like. Thanks for the nice compliment Brad. I learned it "by ear" and I don't play it like Scotty can. But I can't seem to get him to do sound bytes but boy I sure try.
Thanks again,
Don E. Curtis
