Hey There,

I'm out East right now and I had the pleasure of catching a "Honky Tonkin'" radio show on a NYC public station last night. They were doing a Webb Pierce birthday tribute and there was some great steel on every track.

Who was that player? Did anyone else catch the show?

I can't recall all the song titles from memory, but the DJs were playing stuff that is not available on CD.

It was cool.

While I believe he recorded with several players over the years - Jerry Byrd, Sonny Burnette and Jimmy Day to name a few, I think Bud Isaacs is most known for playing with him.

I know Sonny Burnett worked the Opry and the road with Webb in 1957, because; That’s when I met him and on his word ordered my first of many Sho-Bud PSG’s.
