Does anyone know what guitar Buddy was playing on the Willie Nelson / Ray Price album "San Antonio Rose"?

In my opinion he is the highlight of this fine album, with THAT tone!

Richard, I asked Buddy about his work on that album awhile back and as far as he can recall he was using his rosewood mica P/P Emmons. But regarding tone, he also attributed a lot of it to the way things were set up in the studio...the choice of microphone and the skill of the engineer. I agree with you 100% about the sound of the steel on that album...my all time favorite for sure. And of course we know that recording engineers play a big part in the final sound of a project but still, it was no accident that the producers chose Buddy Emmons to play on it. You're right, he makes the album.
