Does anyone know who plays on his recordings? I heard 3 songs on a jukebox tonight and the steel was *&%*% great!

Depends on what songs you heard, Jeremy Wakefield was on some of the later ones, Herb Steiner was on some of the earlier ones. Dunno who's on the most recent one.

Herb Steiner played on the "Thunderstorms and Neon Signs" album.
Chris Miller is on the "That's What Daddy Wants" album.
Jeremy Wakefield played the "Wild, Free & Reckless" and "A-Town Blues" albums.
Eddie Rivers plays on the live "Swing Time" album.

On Wayne's website under "My Band" he list Herb Remmington as "Guest Musician, depending on dates".
I don't think Herb is on any of the studio recordings, that I know of.

I believe that his producer, Lloyd Maines, has also played on some of the cuts through the years.
For the most part it seems that when a steel player produces an album it ends up with some great steel solos. It may just be me, but I kind of like that.

Does the steel player perform on all the "Swing Time" CD cuts? I've hesitated to buy that CD because I was under the impression that Wayne wasn't using a steeler at the time of the recording.
