I'll be in the bay area next week (arriving Wednesday) for a few days. Anything "steel-related" that I can check out... especially Joe Goldmark?

Steve - if you're staying for Memorial Day weekend,
Johnny Dilks and the Visitation Valley Boys and Dave Gleason's Wasted Days are at the Ivy Room in the east bay on Saturday. Lee Jeffries plays steel with Johnny and Joe G. sometimes plays with Dave.

The Hillside Wranglers featuring David Phillips are at the Parkside in SF on Sunday the 30th.

On Monday there may be a chance that the Memorial Day BBQ at the El Rio in SF will have 3 steel players. Joe with Dave Gleason, Scotty Hay with Smelly Kelly's High Plains Drifters, and me with the Mother Truckers

Joe, are you playing the shows I mentioned?

Check out Hicks With Sticks

Enjoy your stay in the bay!

Dave,
Thanks for the info. If I can talk the in-laws into it, the BBQ sounds like fun. Do you have an e-mail address for Joe? Also, did I sell you a Blue Velvet Band CD once upon a time?

Steve, I don't have any contact info for Joe but I can try to get it. I'll be seeing some of his bandmates tonight.

Was that you who sold me the disc? I still enjoy listening to it.

Dave

Steve, I talked to Dave Gleason and he said Joe is going to be there on Memorial Day. In fact, Scott from the other band I mentioned is out of town and Joe will be sitting in with them as well. I didn't get contact info. Sorry.

Hope to see you guys there.
