I tuned in Ron, and did enjoy listening.

It reminded me of my growing up days in Texas when I was immersed totally in Country Western. However in 1951, my musical taste took a twist when I first heard the Hawaii Calls programs. I immediately fell in love with Hawaiian music and the Hawaiian steel guitar playing. That has remained constant over the years.

However, I like to listen to old country/western on Saturday evenings still. When I was a child we always listened to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday evenings. I guess I can't get away completely from country western.

I was surprised and pleased to see this thread, since I am one of the directors of RAM Radio. I moderate the RCM (Real Country Music) forums and serve as the editor-in-chief of the monthly e-newsletter, RAMagazine. The whole crew at RAM Radio is dedicated to real country music and will bend over backwards to honor even the most obscure song requests.
