Well....this is the Steel Guitar Forum....and there is this chance that no one knows who she is?
You might want to elaborate some.

She's probably considered the next Tanya Tucker outlaw added to the hot new country scene. Listening to the radio and watching CMT will get you in touch with whose, who Les.
Gary Morse you sounded great on the preparty show also! You got on camera alot!
Could you please help us out with who was playing with Gretchen?
Thanks, Theresa[This message was edited by Theresa Galbraith on 28 April 2004 at 05:00 AM.] |

I'm sorry Les. I thought I was fairly clear about it. I realize that this is the "Steel Guitar Forum." That's why I asked who the "steel player" was on "this" forum. If a person didn't see the show and didn't see the segment that Gretchen was on then I didn't expect a response. I'll try to be a little more exact next time.

His name is Greg Perkins. He plays steel and fiddle for the new act "Big & Rich." He was just filling in with Gretchen until they could hire a steel player.....which they did today by the way. I met him today at soundcheck in Nashville. Nice Guy. [This message was edited by Gaylon Mathews on 28 April 2004 at 07:33 PM.] |

Gaylon,
That seems like an odd reaction to my response to your posting.
I was trying to subtely (and somewhat humerously) remind you that a lot of us are 50 plus years, and don't follow the current music scene, like in years past, and it helps when someone mentions a new artist, to throw out the title of their current charting song, or some other identifier.
I am sure that a lot of members must have seen the segment, but might not of remembered the artist by name.
Not to worry, in the future I'll not step on your posts, if I have no information directly concerning your questions or comments.
Les

Les,
I'm sorry if I took your post the wrong way. However, I didn't get any of that about being over 50 and not knowing who an artist is out of your first post. I simply took it that you were telling me that this is a steel guitar forum and I somehow took it that my question didn't belong here. Again, sorry.
b0b, since I found out who it was, go ahead and close this one up. Thanks |
