Hi all, I used to play in the San Jose area in the 70s & 80s. I used to know a steel player named Bobby Black and his brother Larry a fine tele player.

Great pictures and great pickers too. I have admired the Black Brothers talents for years. They should be in the SGHOF for sure.
GOD bless you all!

The two Black Brothers were playing some of the most knocked out music on TV in the Bay area 50 years ago. They were such incredible musicians as teenagers and they haven't lost a bit of it. |

I met Larry and his wife Linda on a club gig in Lebanon,TN about 10 years ago. They have since become two of my dearest friends! They both knocked me out with their love for "real" music and it didn't take me long to realize what a gifted guitar player Larry is!!
He might not appreciate me saying this but he is undergoing his second round of chemo treatments for cancer. Any words of encouragement through their website would be a lift for him. Bob has graciously posted info about their latest CD. Thank you Bob!! And thanks to all!!! |
