hi, I just got this at a local music store. It's used, was on consignment. Sounds great! Note nice square neck-thru-body. Grover tuners, and a humbucker with a coil tap.

Can anyone ident. the maker???

hmmm, well If I had to interpret the meaning of the head stock design . . . I'd say it's a 'viagrin' made by the Flying F hole Co. back in '46 . . . .uhhh, sorry Chris I couldn't resist but I'd say it's home made.
I concur that the pick up is a carvin, the bridge looks like a stratocaster bridge and of course you called the tuners . . it's nice lookin' tho, . . . sorry my mind goes that way about the headstock design . . ruk-ruk!

That's a nice looking lap steel, but it doesn't resemble any manufacturers with which I'm familiar. Sorry I can't be of more help identifying this guitar.

Thanks guys,

Joel - you need some time off and another martini bro LOL.

I know it's a 'one off' from someone. It's clearly the work of an independent luthier. Just hoped someone might know so I could contact them and say "I like your axe man"!

The pickup sounds nice. I may replace it.

It's hard to tell from the pics (sorry should have added something for scale), but this thing is about the width of my Bakelite Rick, and just a tad longer. Fits in my Alvarez acoustic travel guitar gigbag! (Baby Taylor size) It's fun!

cheers all, you can close this thread.
