To be able to try out Reece´s 12 string nonpedal tuningon my PSG I had to detune 2 strings...serious detuning of 4 and 5 semitones. I found that I loved it. I could finally do behind the bar pulls of a full tone.

Question

¿Do non peddlers tend to have less tension in the strings?

¿Do some of you deliberately put on thinner guage strings to be able to get easier pulls?

Ive seen the advantages ¿would there be a negative aspect too?
