Just got my CD of this on our last supply flight. I bought the album when it originally came out, but that was when I was still in college, plus a couple of wives ago too!
I love the spectrum of music on this album. If you've never heard it, I highly recommend buying it!
Just my $0.02 worth.

Yeah I got it at ISGC from Jimmy Crawford hisself.
Interesing album and especialy for the time.
Russ did some good production work and playing on it. |

Always been one of my favorites. I love the natural chorusing of the double tracked dobros (as on "Please Come To Boston"). Great recording.

Sometimes the forum is criticized for producing threads of enthusiastic unanimous opinions about things - and since we're talking about something that's purely subjective taste, I have to throw this in.
I have the greatest respect for each and every one of the steel players that worked on that album, and I think it's just dreadful.
When I hear people talking about superimposing steel into areas where it hasn't gone before (and perhaps just shouldn't), I think of this album. No offense intended, just my own opinion.
I notice the vast majority of steel recordings put out lately feature the pure, unaldulterated sound of the instrument, which is more than enough stimulation for me. I always thought it was a lesson learned.
That's not to say you guys can't enjoy it though.
