if i open a thread on what i see as some problems in the structure of bluegrass music.
I think i have some interesting points, but am afraid i might offend too many people.

Ya mean like a suspicious absence of M7b5th, Aug11th, and Dim9th chords?

Traditional bluegrass, as practiced by Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, the Stanleys, etc., is just as structured as, say, flamenco guitar, or the blues. A lot of the "new" stuff sounds the same to me, but it may be because I've been playing this stuff too long !
