Here's a little extra something that may bring you to Winchester, Indiana next week.

A group of elderly farm women in Winchester have produced a nude calendar to help raise funds to save the 128 year-old Randolph County Courthouse(very cool building and Civil War monument).

Read this: http://nwitimes.com/articles/2005/06/30/updates/odds_and_ends/3d26142a42e537 cb86257030005fde53.txt

I heard a radio interview with the woman who coordinated the calendar.

She didn't mention anything about the convention or Bobby Ingano or L.T., just "calendar, calendar, calendar, nude, nude, nude", sheesh!

She did mention BJ's restaurant the place we jam in the evening. She went on and on about their wonderful cheeseburgers.

I thought she could of at least mentioned a little something about the B11 tuning or reverse slants on long scale steels (but nooooooooooo! pretty selfish if you ask me )

I'll get a calendar and report back!

I'll be at the AISGA convention but I don't think I'll even touch this thread.

I'll be there, but I hope the place isn't swarming with calendar collectors. Nude farming, what a concept.

I doubt you could get the calendar anywhere but in the Winchester area.

The radio interviewer asked the calendar woman if there was a website where orders could be placed and got a "No". No mail order either. The interviewer asked for a mailing address or phone number and the woman refused to give either out over the air.

These farm women may know their apple cobbler, but marketing is not one of their strengths. They got some good press and publicity and failed to run with it.

I'm sure the calendars will be available at all Winchester area cash registers.

Hmmmm. If I were an 80 or 90 year old woman and I posed nude for a calander, would I or would I not give out me address or phone number. I'd have to think about that one.

I really doubt that P.O. boxes are that hard to come by in Winchester. They could of got one for $30 for a year and used that as their "office".

But I see your point Andy.

Mahalo for the article. Do you think that I could donate money without having to look at the calendar?
