Everything he does will knock you out. He's got credits a mile long. Great great player and a nice guy. Far as I know he still lives in Nashville, tnn . Has two cds out for sure and both are very good. You might be able to get them from ET record shop.

I have two of his CD's which he was kind enough to sign. Both of them exhibit stellar steel sojourns (say that really fast three times!). Robby is an outstanding player. I really enjoy his version of "The Healing Hands of Time".

He showed up at the ISGC a few years back, about the time of the "Man of Steel" CD.
Maybe they can get him back some time. www.robbyturner.net

Robby is one of them there Nashvegas boys, very talented Steel Player. He used to play a red Emmons, then switched to a Zum about 3 years. Maybe he'll be playing a Milliniem before long. Lately he's been playing on the road with the Dixie Chicks.

Robby Turner is one of the great players of our time. He inherited a lot of talent from his dad Doyle Turner who played steel for Hank Sr. and his mom Berniece also played guitar in Hank's band. The pickin' ain't over until Robbie has played. Jody.

The cut of "Secret Love" you were talking about included Johnny Cox. Robby had asked him to play on a couple of the tunes on that CD. Johnny and Robby traded lines of that song on that CD. I think the other one is "Take Me As I Am". Robby and Johnny have been friends since they were kids. I bet Robby changed to playing a Zum because he liked the guitar. There are lots of people who play them, Nick.

Hi All..I don't recall if it was 1999 or 2000 but it was the last year Robbie played his red Emmons at the St.Louis convention.and let me tell you his tone made my hair stand up it was heaven..I will never forget his performance. Robbie is one fine player and one of my favorites.

Hi Paul,I love Robby, he is one of my all time favorite people/players. His Man Of Steel, and Steel Country albums should be in every steel guitarist collection.
Like Buck said his credits are a mile long, here is just a few, steel guitarist for Waylon,The Highwaymen(Nelson,Jennings,Cash,Kristofferson) and lots of sessions including Marty Stuarts latest album "Country Music" he is currently on tour with the Chicks..
Robby is as good as it gets musically, and a finer family man there isn't..He has my friendship and respect.. He is also my favorite player to watch, as he is very animated when he plays...cya...Ronnie
