Can anyone recommend a good album that shows off Weldon Myrick's playing? I have Pedalman but that's not exactly the kind of music I'm seeking.
Thanks,

Brad-Check out "The Best of Connie Smith","Area Code 615",Some of Charlie McCoy's stuff and also Johnny Bush-my favorite is Weldon's break on J.B.'s version of "Whiskey River" Just to name a few! |

Brad:
Pick up "From Texas to Tennessee". Good picking and you'll even get to hear him sing!

Both the 'Area Code 615' albums are available on one CD ('Area Code 615' & 'A Trip In The Country') - it's on Koch Records.
Try figuring out Weldon's part on 'Welephant Walk' - it's great!

Well, it's tabbed out in "Manual of Style." Learn a lot about playing if you can get it-- open strings, pull-offs, pick blocking, the works.
Look for a CD by PAUL SIEBEL. It is a compilation of two records Paul did. I think it is on Rounder and called "Woodsmoke and Oranges."
Weldon played on the first bunch of stuff. Emmons played on the second.
Good steel!

I like the two first Moe Bandy albums, they can be had on one CD. Great music and playin' by Weldon. |
