The Sonny Garrish thread was interesting as I'm a big fan of Sonny's playing. I was hoping other session players would tell us what they use. BE,PF, Bobbe, Weldon , Larry Sasser, Mike Johnson? It doesn't matter if you're still playing sessions now or not.
I know , I spelled session wrong in the topic. Tony

What the hell, I've been doing some sessions, and no one else has responded so here goes: My rack contains an 70's ear Alembic stereo tube preamp,(apparently David Gilmour uses a similar device) a Lexicon MPX 550 and a VHT 2/90/2. Each side of the VHT gets its own speaker in a Diezel 2X12 cabinet I had those Swiss folks make for me special. Bob Hoffnar and I were saying the other night if I don't sound good I certainly can't blame my gear. My microphone of choice these days is a Royer R-121. The truest reproducer I've ever heard, like a human ear in a tube.

Thanks Gerald, I should have made this topic open to anyone to begin with. I'm a gear nut and I like to hear what everybody uses.
