Just wanted to say while doing the show in lexington i watched greg as he did his set, and everytime i hear him he just gets better with age... Not to mention his great steel guitar rebuilding skills.. You have came a long way greg, And i just wanted the world to know how proud of you we are here in the good ole buckeye state.. PS. Thanks for the chance to sing with you.. The kiss was ment for your forehead, complements of the late Deacon Morse.. ( bring back any memories?)

I'll second that Mike. Greg was kind enough to tweak my 73 ZB Custom, and after he did it played like a new guitar. He owns a number of ZB's and is a master mechanic at fixing them up. Wish I could have caught him playing at Lexington but I had a Holloween gig. |

I agree, Greg played a super set (as did Mike, btw!), and the refurbished ZB Custom guitars he had there were gorgeous!

WOW, thank you Mike, Kevin, and Jim for the nice compliments. Mike it is always good getting to hear you play. Your new GFI sounded really sweet. You know you have always been one of my inspirations to play. (along with Deacon) Boy do I miss the old Carousel Lounge!!!!
Thanks for the compliments on the ZB's too. I really love these old guitars. They are unique and have a sound like no other.
Jim, I also enjoyed your set. Very tasty playing. I wanted a closer look at your Fessy but was afraid I might drool on it!!!!

At times like this I usually reach for my desk drawer containing my steel CD's. As they're moving my office today, I'll have to wait until this afternoon to grab Greg's CD -- with those good old Bakersfield sounds-- and give it a spin.
I've always looked forward to Greg's set at Lexington and have visited many hours with his dad, Walter, at the booth there. I can always tell Greg is running low on sleep and high on caffine since he squeezes the Lexington gig in between his regular Renfro Valley shows.

PS: Double good news. They just took the telephone and someone returned a couple of my CD's-- not packed! Guess I'd better get to work.[This message was edited by Ron Page on 07 November 2003 at 05:58 AM.] |

Greg - clearly, YOU ARE DA MAN. I hear so many people compliment you on your restoration work, and it's awesome to hear some fine words about your playing, too! Testify!
ZBest Wishes to you!
