The recording Bud did in '57 set my musicial direction( it probably influenced many of you also!). Before doing the song with Webb, had Bud used his pedal set-up on any previous recordings? I also am intereted in any instrumentals he recorded, which titles you think are the best. Thanks for helping turn that spotlight once more on this great artist! |

I thought Bud's rendition of "BOING" was a neat little arrangement. Remember that one? |

How about "Bud's Bounce"! First instrumental released on a pedal steel.
I would guess I wore out at least two records of "Slowly" and "Bud's Bounce". Just couldn't get enough of that new sound.

Waltz You Saved For Me...Hot Mocking Bird,I played so much, you could see through it.
Thanks Bud for setting the steel guitar players on thier ears.(exept Mr. Byrd,he don't need no pedals)

Butch
Theres, two great cds from Bronco buster records, out of germany.
They are live recordings of the Ozark jubilee TV show, from 1955.
The fidelitey is pretty good, and its all instrumental.
The titles are The swingin steel guitar of Bud Issacs (Bronco buster 9051) and Master of the steel guitar(Bronco buster 9052).
I got mine at Downhome records in El cerrito CA, but heres the Email for the label. Dagmar.Binge@t-online.de
Also, a session with Chet Atkins has Bud on it.
