In college I took boxing with Floyd Paterson. Talk about humbling. He lived in New Paltz and taught each semester. It was an opportunity I could not pass on. I do not box now. |

When I first moved to Phoenix, in 1970, I used to be known as one of the "fastest, fisted boxers" in Arizona. Of course I was boxing lemons, oranges, grapefruits, etc.

I'm a boxing fan.
I like to watch the heavey weight fights, and any of the big names in other divisions.
There are some good boxing BBS's in Google newsgroups.
I even shell out for PPV's if it looks like a good one.
I passed on the recent Evander fight though.
I don't Box at all myself, just a fan of the "sweet science" as they say.
I really enjoy the Classic Boxing and Legendary Nights boxing programs. |

Never really boxed but got in quite a few fist fights as a kid because I was so small.
Got pounded pretty regularly I do enjoy watching but prefer the older classic stuff.
My favorite fighter was "Little Danny Red Lopez". Man, the kid had the heart of a giant and until he ran into Sanchez, he was unbeatable.
So Peter, what weight class are you? Do you fight professionally?
