I wasn't planning on attending this year,However with Buddy announcing his being there along with Johnny Bush and with a rumored new release(finally) by LLoyd Green.Actually before Buddy announced I was thinking of going for another chance to hear LLOYD GREEN live again. I want to personally get a picture with LLOYD as I buy the latest great music collectors Item. It's no great secret (tho I have many favorites er sorry Smiley these two legends both fill my music collection shelves. Talk about Icing on the cake. For this I'll even put up with a little of Smiley's driving. (damn little tho )

Close, still missing Mike Smith.... Add Paul, Sonny, Mike Johnson and Randle Currie, and I'd be fit to be tied.

I'm looking forward to it!
I hear that my non-stop flight to STL is being eliminated as of 11/01/03, and by this time next year I'll have a 1-1/2 year old and hopefully a new born, so this may be it for a few years!

(Pete, I sent you an e-mail and got a message back saying you are on sabbatical - are you still getting your mail from time to time?)

I've noticed that these players are really developing some marketing savvy and timing the release of their CD's with the ISGC. I may have to bring the next size bigger suitcase.

Bob, sorry you won't be there. On the up side, that will leave me a little extra elbow room standing by the beer concession as I often do.

The best? I dunno...I always get excited about the next one...Seeming to forget
how tired I was after the last one.
It would be hard to beat the conventions of the late 70's and early 80's for me...
Jimmy Day and Buddy Emmons coming out of the bars there on Fri and Sat nites and just blowing the roof off the place.
Steel Guitar the way God intended it to be played and heard!
Every ISGC has it's highlights for me and I hope this one is one of the best ever
and that everyone enjoys it.

This is a bit out of context, but I'm sure many will recognize the saying as it applies to steel and ISGC... "The worst I ever had was outstanding!"
