Hey Boys & Girls. I know this is a Steel Guitar Forum but I need some help or advise and don't know where else to turn. Recently, I've taken up the fiddle. I know about guitars and steels but nothing about a violin. I'm looking for a good one. Are Suzukis' any good? Any advise an openions will be appreciated> bOb, if this nedds to be discussed via Email let me know. Thanks-------Eddie |

If you lived in the Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas or Arkansas area you could check out our own John Terry of Carthage , Mo., not only does he build them, but is also an awesome fiddle player - not to mention singer. Texas fiddle great Bobby Flores could probably give you some first hand information about John's fiddles.

Eddie - Since you have already taken up the fiddle, what are you playing now? If you have a fiddle and are thinking of upgrading, a lot of folks would suggest getting a better bow before a better fiddle. There have been discussions about this topic on maestronet.com. |

Did you hear about the session where the fiddle player was so out of tune the Pedal
steel player noticed? |

Leon. The fiddle I have now was my dad's. he gave it to me before he past away. He could play but whem I us to play with him I did'nt the fiddle had a good tone. (theres that word again). I had it set up by a good fiddle mechanic that lives several miles a way and he told me at the time that it would never have a great sound. I've tried several bows without noticing a big difference, I'm beginning to play well enough that the squeal is gone. It sounds like it has a sore throat. CHUCK: Thats cool.---Eddie |

Hey Larry Robbins: I checked out your buddy. those are beautiful violins and if they are good enough for Vassar, they are good enopugh for anyone. My problem at the moment is that I don't have 3000.00 worth of ability. "Music Row"-----it should be renamed "Noise Alley" |
