Hey, Buddy, this is Brett. I'm glad you'll be in St. Louis this year. It'll be my first time at the ISGC. I look forward to seeing you there and the other players and the guitar companies, especially the Emmons Guitar Co. demo room. I'll be at Saturday's show. Brett Day, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel |

Congratulations on your first trip to the convention. There are so many styles, sounds, and attitudes toward playing the steel guitar to draw from under one roof, that I know you're going to love it. I'll have a booth there, so stop by and say hello. |

Buddy, is that your work on Patsy Cline's "I Fall to Pieces"? I've been told it is.

Ray,
I have always been under the impression that Jimmy Day played on a lot of Patsy's sessions.
Worth investigating |

You're right Herb. It is Big Ben Kieth.
Seems like I've said that before on here not too long ago. Hmmm.

Many thanks for the replies in getting to the bottom of this. My dad is 70+ yrs old and has always had a fondness for the steel part in this tune.
Whenever I hear the tune I try to concentrate on the steel, and usually find some additional subtlety I either forgot or never picked out before.
It's really tough to get it all in one listening.
Thanks again. |

I have my flights booked and will be there in St Louis. I almost decided I couldn't do it several times too.
The thing that tipped the scales was Buddy playing.
I still wanted to go, but to see and hear Big E pickin' was really a motivator for this long, long voyage. |
