I tried to learn Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic suite "Scheherazade" (Opus 35)
.
.
.
but it always cams out sounding like "Great Speckled Bird."

I've always wanted to put together a record of Glenn Miller's old "AMERICAN PATROL". I was never a pop band fan but that tune really gave me some musical things to think about, with the various moving parts, sorta like a John Phillip Suza military march arrangement. It's fun to day dream. |

"Giant Steps"
It just eludes me every time I try to work it up. Solo always sounds like rain on a tin roof. |

I can play "Stumblin" on six string, but have never been happy playing it on steel. Just can't seem to get it up to speed, with the right sound. Jerry |

Night Life. I've never been in a band that played it, so I never learned it.

Bobby:
Same here. That's a tremendous and now world famous chord pattern among musicians -- but I have never learned it. I can play the heck out of Great Speckled Bird, though. |
