Scott Sanders played for a big gospel group "The Hinsons." He has done a lot of session work and has always idolized Sonny Garrish. I first met him in Ardmore,Oklahoma a few years ago and he really played well. The last time I saw him on the tube he had even improved more. I have never saw him at any of the shows and I do not understand why unless his schedule is too busy to play. Maybe someone can get him to play at one of the shows so he can showcase his talent. Ronnie Hinson said "Scott is small in stature but a giant on the steel guitar".....Paul |

For my 2 cents worth Scott is one of the best Pickers in Nashville. If you don't like Southern Gospel you have missed some of the best Country Steel of all time. I would like to see Scott play at some of the shows. |

Scott Sanders is playing some of the finest pedal steel you want to hear. He probably doesn't have time to play steel shows.
Many of this forum's members complain about today's country music. Well, try picking up some Southern Gospel Music, with Scotty on steel. You won't be sorry!
Scotty also worked with Steve Wariner and Gene Watson, on the road, in between stints with The Hinsons, I believe. We met in the late 70s, right after he started playing with the Hinsons, down in south Mississippi. Also, I'm sure as many of you know, a monster dobro player. I love his approach. Check out Porter's Unplugged album for a start. |

Scott Sanders, Heavy recording guy. Bought the first LeGrande ever built from Buddy Emmons and is playing it on session after session, a very busy player, and nice person. Still has his original P-P also.
Mr. Gospel steel guitar! |

He played on an Isaacs project several years ago. A trio at the church I played at for 17 years learned a song off of that project and I tried my best to figure out what he was doing on some of those licks. I never did, I just had to play it the best I could. Great player.
I saw him with the Hinsons once when they didn't even have a keyboard player, just steel, Kenny played lead, drums, and bass. They sounded great. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
