Carl; Watch for an e-mail I forwarded to you today. It's the latest word I've heard.

Hi Carl. Heard about Rocky yesterday. Rocky has diabetes really bad and has lost some toes. He went into the hospital for more surgery and contacted a servere staff infection. He was in pretty bad shape for a while. John Hughey and Randy Beavers went to see him yesterday and seem to think he was doing better. Let's hope so.

Hi Guys: My heart was broken at the Tulsa Convention this past weekend.I went with a 45 rpm record that I was given from my aunts estate of Sawed Off Shotgun, that I was going to get Rocky to autograph for me.When I arrived, I was told that Rocky was in the hospital and that some folks were going to see him that afternoon, so I told them I wanted to go with them. The record was returned to me that afternoon telling me "it's a done deal".Well I would have enjoyed watching Rocky sign the record and guess what. The record was signed with two E's at the end of Caple. So how can I ever be sure Rocky was the one that signed the disc? I was going to have the record matted and framed to put on my music room wall, but now I feel that it is worthless.

Roger. I personally took the record to Rocky's bedside and watched him sign it. I too noticed his spelling and that he had to print his name. I believe it was the best he could do at the time, under the circumstances.
