We worked in Lorain, Oh. last Fr. night. Jerry Brightman came down to visit with me. I hadn't seen Jerry in about 20 years or so. I've always considered him a dear friend and a very fine player. He sat down to my guitar after the show. We had to raise the back legs up for him, and the guitar is set-up backwards to his, but he sat there and just burned. He sounded like he did 20+ years ago when I heard him last. His new CD is worth obtaining, also. I've listened to it several times, now. Believe me, it's not just another steel guitar recording. He's taking the instrument into directions and territories needing to be explored. It is well worth checking out.

Wow Bob!
I certainly didn't expect you to say this on the Forum...Thanks so much...Roy hasn't changed much since the last time I worked with him...and we know how long that's been.(What's his secret?  ). What Bob didn't say, was he was with Roy Clark in Lorain, OH...and beleive me, Roy appreciates steel guitar...and supports that by having one fine player in the band...
You guys sounded great and as always, you haven't lost anything yourself...

| Bob. I couldn't agree with you more! Jerry's CD has something for just about everybody on it. There's some great country music style tunes on this CD, and some very tastefully done "left-of-center" things as well. It's good to see the pedal steel being taken in different directions, and I appreciate this kind of talent. |

Danny, you're right on the money. Jerry, you'll never know how much that meant to me by you're coming down there. Thanks so much. I'm just playing old timey whiney-a$$ steel. I haven't learned anything new in years, but again, thanks. Your friendship means a lot to me. You are one super player.

I say this with all sincerity, Jerry Brightman is one of the best steel players to ever sit down at one of those mechanical wonders. He makes it look easy.
He in my own personal opinion is probably 1 of the TOP 5 players of all time.
If you ever get the chance to hear "THE MAN" Jerry Brightman, don't pass it up.
Plus he is a great story teller, ask him to tell you about Tom Brumley's cat!!!!!!!!!.
